この想いを胸に、2012年からハンドメイド活動を始めました。

I’m Riko from Mamanotette.
I create handkerchiefs that are gentle and safe
for sensitive skin and babies.
With the wish to deliver gentle　handkerchiefs
that feel like the warmth of a mother’s touch,
I began my handmade journey in 2012.

“Mamanotette” means “Mother’s Hands” in Japanese.
Handcrafted with gentle warmth, just like a mother’s touch.

Why I Started Making Gauze Handkerchiefs

私は生まれながら肌が弱く、洗剤やタオルで肌が赤くなることも…。
息子も同じく敏感肌で、日々安心して使えるものを探していました。
そんなとき出会ったふわふわの6重織ガーゼ。
その手触りに感動し、早速ダブルガーゼを重ねてハンカチを作りました。
両面好きな柄で可愛く、肌にやさしいハンカチは、毎日使うたびにほっとする温もりを感じられる、
私の大切なモノになりました。

I was born with sensitive skin, and even detergents or towels sometimes caused irritation.
My son has sensitive skin as well, so I was always looking for things
That’s when I discovered fluffy 6-ply gauze.
I was deeply touched by its softness, and soon layered it with double gauze
to create my first handkerchief.
With cute patterns on both sides and a gentle touch on the skin, this handkerchief became
something special to me— bringing a sense of warmth and comfortevery time it’s used.
I hope to share this gentle cuteness and soothing warmth with your everyday life or as a heartfelt gift.
